This route crosses one of the UK's most renowned and exposed ridges: Crib Goch at 923 m in Eryri National Park.Participants navigate the classic Crib Goch ridge (Grade 1 scramble), with the option to tackle the pinnacles section. The route continues via Bwlch Coch to Garnedd Ugain (1,065 m – Wales' second highest peak), involving another Grade 1 scramble on more blocky terrain. On clear days, the summit offers excellent views toward Yr Wyddfa. After reaching the trig point on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales), the descent follows the Pyg Track back to Pen y Pass.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE:
Crib Goch is a serious and exposed undertaking with a history of incidents involving underprepared participants. We maintain an incident-free record through thorough planning, preparation, and risk assessment.A final weather check occurs on the morning of the hike. If conditions are unsuitable (e.g., high wind, poor visibility, wet rock), we switch to a safer alternative: ascent via the Pyg Track, traverse to Garnedd Ugain (reverse), then Snowdon summit, descending the Pyg Track. We reserve the right to inspect kit at the meet point and may refuse participation if equipment is inadequate (we can advise on alternatives if needed).
